The new Ford Truck comes with suspension travel clearance of 11.2″ inches in the front to a massive 13.4″ inches in the rear and a wider more stable base than before, over seven inches with highly visible FOX RACING SHOX. Plus a bold, new FORD grille strictly for the Raptor Truck. Equipped with a 5.4L Triton® V8 three valve creating a stock 320 horsepower with 390 ft. lbs. torque. Coming soon, Ford will offer a 6.2L V8 Triton® named the “BOSS” producing 400 horsepower with 400 ft. lbs. torque.
To prove the new Truck was everything it claimed to be, Ford entered a 500 horsepower F150 SVT Truck into the Baja 1000 this past November. Really just hoping to even finish this brutal race, after 631 miles, not only did the F150 Raptor finish in an impressive time of 25 hours/28 minutes/10 seconds, it came in 3rd place for it’s truck series. The F150 SVT Truck also accomplished this with the factory stock transmission, brakes, axles, and even factory frame.
ford-f150 has 12 overall victories at the Baja 1000 in four wheel truck/vehicle series, the most of any automobile and engine manufacturer ever. Also winning eight (8) championships in nine (9) divisions of desert off-road racing at the 2007 “Best in the Desert” series.
